Kurt and Kitty in Love

This is a colored lineart that I had commissioned from . The idea of it is that I wanted this picture to be a fairly loving picture of a favorite pairing of mine: Kurt Wagner (Nightcrawler) and Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat). Of course in this I had her use the X-men Evolution version.

The only real tricky parts about this was mimicking the colors, shading style as well as putting in a fairly decent background. I had tried to paint some grass into this but it never really came out the way I had hoped so I basically resorted to using a grass photo pattern and giving it a perspective distortion. So if any of you out there know of any grass photoshop painting tutorials let me know. And I mean the kind where it's from an above angle, not the side-angle that most tutorials here have.
