I trust you doubt only the truth of the statements of liars.

Nope. I only trust in my own doubt.

The only thing I don't doubt is my doubt.

Are you sure you don't doubt the trust of your doubt?

I can see where you're going with this. A kind of begging the question sort of fallacy in which the absolute would lead to proof positive.

Though in my own case I'm wrong about being right and I'm usually right about being wrong. Thus the reason why doubt is usually a better alternative.

Is that it? The positive proof isn't always absolute, and even if it's absolute it's still not necessarily positive.

If you're right about being wrong then shouldn't the proper course be to expect the opposite rather than doubt the decision itself?

Unfortunately the situation becomes stuck so the only thing I can do is doubt it.

But unless you intend to remain stuck you eventually have to just jump.

I CHOOSE to call myself an Atheist (through deficiency of proof). However, I'm far too skeptical and far too tolerant to say, "This is what I believe, and I'm not going to question it." Many people adopt beliefs and don't question them, for whatever their reasons, but their approach is not mine. "Skepticism is the chastity of the intellect," said my favourite philosopher, George Santayana.
